Has anyone been to Sandals lately? Do you need to reserve in advance? Any details would be appreciated. Also is it on the same beach as the Melia? Thanks!

I know this is a bit late but have been searching for a review on here for Sandals and found this thread. We have been debating on which day pass to do when we go in October.

From what we've found Sandals will not take a reservation for the day pass. They expect you to walk in. The guard will escort you to the lobby. I believe it is nearby Melia along Cable Beach. It seems hard to lock down rates but when I called Sandals I was given these and my TA confirmed these same rates for me:

10am-6pm $110

6pm-2am $110

10am-2am $190

Sandals Nassau is really fun. We stayed there and have not done an excursion. Beautiful pools. Gorgeous landscape and a lot of restaurants. Really fun bars and swim up bar.

Their snorkeling trips are fun. You find the times they offer, get on the boat and they give you equipment and you jump off and go. You can also use their two person kayaks which are great.

The beach on the property is small and ok. But you can take their boat over to their private island which has a bar and probably food - I can't remember. Too many drinks at the swim up bar ;) It is very nice. Can walk around the island, lay out etc.

I think it would be a good cruise excursion for a couple.

I just wanted to add to Midwestmom's comments. I wouldn't count on being able to take the snorkel boat on a day pass. When we stayed at Sandals, the snorkeling trips were usually booked up a day in advance so there may not be any spots available by the time you get there. The snorkeling is pretty good, though, if you get a chance to try it.

You can also snorkel from the beach at the private island. Swim out to the right and along the rocks and you can see tons of fish.
