FAQs on the smoking policy

Does anyone know where smoking is allowed on deck? Is it the entire starboard side of the ship ?

Depends on the ship and apparently Carnival is looking into expanding designated deck smoking areas. On the liberty it was the starboard side of Deck 10 and it was always crowded and only had one very overflowing ashtray

Interesting. It does not really impact me much this cruise because we do not smoke and we do not have a balcony. But my mom is a smoker and since Carnival went to non-smoking inside, she has always booked a balcony. So she won't be too happy. It sounds like more lines are moving toward this. If it comes down to that, I would probably see her stop cruising all together.

Personally, I don't care either way. I have had balcony cabins and never bothered by smoke. I don't know if my balcony neighbors smoked or not.
