Is "Irene" a threat?

I just went on: http://www.wunderground.com/global/BE.html

The civil air terminal, Bermuda popped up. Check it out, it gives the forecast through Thursday and it is different then the one that you found. This one doesn't look that bad. Check it out and see what you think.

Not sure if the address I posted will work but you can just go to http://www.wunderground.com and enter in Bermuda.

I checked it out and it is different but does not go as far or in as much detail as the other link e.g. 60% shower probability all week.

And yes "a bad day fishing is berret than a good day at work" so Bermuda on the ship will still be fun ,but if I had my choice right now I'd rather be going to New England and Canada.

Bear in mind that in Bermuda showers usually does not mean "raining all day". It usually means: partly cloudy with a reasonable chance that a rain cloud is going to zoom over the island and dump torrential rain for 15 minutes. I'd be stunned if it rained for four days straight.

You are absolutely correct about how fast the weather changes there in August so there should be some sun,but it is better to be prepared. I remember a few horrible days at Horseshoe Bay waiting for a cab,in a long line, in the rain.Be sure to pack that unbrella and next time do Burmuda in June or July if possible.

Well, we're about to find out how Irene will impact our cruise. I've packed rain gear, extra sweater, and extra Bonine ... after reading the posts, I'll add an umbrella.

12 hours till we leave for the ship ... WOOO HOOO!

I just started a new post to see if anyone had an update. I searched all of Celebrity's website and couldn't find anything. I tried contacting our TA, but they are gone for the night. I am so curious to find out what the plan is - we went to Canada last year on the VOS, and would prefer not to repeat. Obviously it is out of our hands!!
