Summit Dining Room

I'll be on the Summit 10/17/05 with my hubby and his parents. (we're VERY excited!). Hubby and I have been on the RCI Monarch, Carnival Spirit and the Carnival Pride, but have yet to be on an X cruise. Our question is: does the dining room have tables for just 4? On the new carnival ships, we've been fortunately assigned booths that seat 4 (which we love) but by looking at the pictures I can find, the Summit Dining Room only has large round tables. Also, I know this is a silly question, but on the Carnival ships, I was able to get coffee or tea 24/7 at the buffet area. Is there self serve coffee available 24/7 on the Summit? (and I know I can get room service 24/7, but I like to fill my travel mug and take it to the casino to play video poker!). Thanks for your replies. I love this website!!!

Yes, there is coffee, tea and juice available in the buffet 24/7. It is also available in the Aqua spa from about 6:30 a.m. until 8 p.m.

It's a good idea to bring your own travel mug so you can take the beverage wherever you are headed, without fear of spilling. We did this with cocoa packets brought from home & heated by a small electric "hot pot" I'd brought. They do sometimes have packets of cocoa at the buffet, but I'd heard they didn't always, so brought some rather than pay $10 at Hubbard Glacier!

There are tables for 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 in the Cosmopolitan. enjoy!

There were plenty of packets of cocoa at the buffet. I was on the Mercury a few weeks ago and there were plenty that no one used. I did see a lot of people pay $10 for a mug at the Hubbard Glacier though. Crazy! I just went to the buffet and made myself a cup and went back up.
