Port Canerval, pre-cruise Radisson???

Recommended Posts

We stayed at the Radisson 2 years ago and it was very nice. The rooms are huge with beautiful appointments, nice ceiling fans, etc. I grew up there in the 60's, and have had many reunions there. A few friends from high school met us there for dinner and breakfast. At that time, breakfast was not included but the breakfast buffet was about $10/pp. Dinner was expensive so we ate elsewhere.

Cruise day!!! It can get REAL crazy in the lobby. eek.gif I called a few days before we arrived and put our name on the shuttle list for the 1st transfer because it is first come first serve. I recommend calling days before. Even with scheduled times, there was still shoving, yelling and chaos. Our tablemates also stayed there alos but took a cab for about $5 tip included, much easier I think.

We have cruised out of PC since and now stay at the Hampton Inn down on A1A 3 miles, renting a car from Budget when we arrive the day before. Less stress, less expensive, very nice hotel and they offer a continental breakfast. biggrin.gif

Have a great cruise.

Teresa

I have heard and read on the disboards that you don't technically have to book the cruise package to leave your car there and get transport to the pier. Now, I haven't booked this hotel, but I have read this comment that it is cheaper to just book a room....ie no need for the package.
