Should I ignore our cruise docs?

Hi!

 

We have read here and on other boards that it is o.k. to take a soft-sided cooler full of soft drinks and beer onto Disney ships -- as long as there isn't any ice in them. We received our cruise docs earlier this week, and there's a special sentence devoted to telling us that coolers are not allowed.

 

I don't want to pack it if we're not going to be able to use it, and I certainly don't want it confiscated!

 

What has your experience been?

We had no trouble carrying on a couple of soft-sided coolers with some beverages onboard. As long as they are small enough to fit through the X-ray machines you should have no problem.

I have not tried it but I plan on taking water with me in 3 weeks in my soft side roller Disney cooler.

When they say no coolers they mean the big chunky hard things you bring to the beach.

 

A soft cooler is more like an insolated bag.
