irkutsk Posted August 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2005 we need to decide ASAP by sat. morning what ship to sail and what cabinto take for 3 of us for december 18 cruise. I already post and got some responces which ship to take valor or conquest: valor doing eastern and conquest western carib. we done both iteneraries before. Airfare to new orlean or miami or Fort lauterdale are the same from our city, we visited south florida and new orlean before--so all of it not a decisive factors. price wise valor is $135 cheaper for inside cabin then conquest. Now, on conquest cabin with porthole available(category 5 a, forward) which would be $80 more per cabin then inside cabin , but $215 more then inside cabin on Valor. I know that ships are very similar and Valor is even newer, but some people seems like conquest better. Any opinions? How nice and well located a portholes cabins are? is it any difference to get starboard vs port side? Thank you
serene56 Posted August 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2005 going so far forward you will feel the motion of the ship. If youthink you will be fine with motion then book the cabin as a guarantee. Since there is ony about 6 of these cabins available you might get upgraded to a full oceanview. (MIGHT) Picking a side of the ship-- doesnt really matter as the captain will pull in at one port and back in at another- depending on what time arrival at the port is. Rare mexicobob Posted August 13, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2005 All things being equal I would go on the Conquest. Any chance to go to the French Quarter in New Orleans would be the deciding factor. MexicoBob
