My best (only) advice is to seek Official (from Health Department maybe) clarification as to what is or is not required. As for low sodium requirements, only your Doctor can supply this information
Grumpy1 Posted August 14, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 14, 2005 I'm not sure if it is a problem of scooters not being allowed in certain ports, but there are many ports where it will be very difficult to get a scooter off and on the ship. If the only way off the ship is by the ship's own gangway, thats a long flight of steps to deal with. Also the tour buses, while they may have space to store folding wheelchairs, cannot accomodate scooters. Tenders also cannot accomodate the transfer of scooters. I don't know how difficult it would be to find places with low sodium menues in those ports.
gene624 Posted August 15, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 15, 2005 I have never tried to take a scooter ashore. Best bet would be to rent a wheelchair and "pusher." Many of the Euuropean ports do not have scooter rentals available. It's hell to be disabled isn't it? But I stilll go anyway. the2ofus Posted August 15, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2005 If the OP is asking about low sodium diets on the ship, I can answer that my DH never had a problem finding menu items that complied with his 2000 maximum total sodium mg per day diet.
