Silhouette sailing out of Venice

Just wanted to make a quick note on my experience with the Celebrity Silhouette. We sailed out of Venice August 17th for a 7 night cruise to Croatia, Ephesus, Corfu and Mykonos. This was my first time with Celebrity and it was a great experience. We had a partially obstructed balcony, room 6261, so I was worried that we wouldn't be able to see anything but it turned out ok. The life boats are just under the balcony and we did have a bit of the metal tower that holds the boat but it was to our left and we could see fine through the other side. Our friends were in room 6263 right next door and they didn't have any obstruction with the exception of the boat under the balcony but looking out it was perfect. The food was great and we ordered room service most nights because we got in late from the bar. the buffet closed at 1am so room service it was. I would recommend the classic alcoholic drink package. we got our wine and beer within that package and it was nice not to have a bill at the end. Initially we thought there would be a 15% gratuity added to our bill with each drink but at the end of the week there was nothing on the bill which was a pleasant surprise. Staff were great and we have no complaints. there was 2 formal nights and not all men wore jackets so they don't seem to be as strict as it sounds. The ports were fantastic and we booked the tours ourselves. I just went through tripadvisor and picked the top 3 tours and booked one. Corfu taxi tours was fantastic, we had a car but it was comfy enough. Ephesus Shuttle (Turkey) was great as well. we had a nice size van for the 4 of us. Dubrovnik, Croatia, we used Dubrovnik Private Guide. This was in a car and 3 people had to sit in the back. if you like more comfort then you can book a van for an extra 90 euros. All of these tours were professional and at least 4.5hrs long. they met us at the ports and it was easy to find. We liked the fact that it was just the 4 of us so not tour buses. We booked a taxi for pick up at the port in Venice to take us to the airport and it was 50 euros for the van. splitting with 2 couples it was a good price. the whole trip went smoothly and we loved every minute of it. :)

We also love the Venice sail away or sail into cruises.

I have also sailed into Lisbon twice under their bridge that is a doppelgänger to the golden gate. Loved it too.

We really like the Silhouette so glad you enjoyed the experience.
