They are also taking out the conference rooms on deck 2 and making some kind of cruise vertual realty thing for the kids club. Dont know the details. Also putting in a permanent spot for the auction stuff that is usually sitting around the front of the Walt Disney theater.

Is that where they are going to have the movies under the stars? can't remember if deck 9 is an outdoor deck. Just got off CCL and that is their Lido deck.

I hope they change the bedding this time around.

Indoor/outdoor spa treatment suites, a new dedicated space for youth activities, poolside movies on a jumbo screen, and a fitness center expansion are among enhancements planned for Disney Magic’s drydock at Norshipco. The 10 days of work begin Oct. 1 at the Norfolk yard.

The Vista Spa and Salon will gain three indoor/outdoor spa treatment suites which connect an indoor treatment room to a private outdoor veranda with hot tub, open-air shower and chaise lounge. The spa’s fitness area will double in size, adding space for more exercise equipment, an area for spinning classes and a couple private salons for Pilates instruction and one-on-one consultations. The spa’s 1,700-square-foot expansion will bring the size of the facility to 10,700 square feet.

Three conference rooms on Deck 2 will transform into a new kids’ hangout, the fifth space dedicated to children on Disney Magic. Ocean Quest will feature a scaled replica of the ship’s bridge, including LCD screen ‘windows’ that let children look out over the bridge via live video feed from the actual bridge. Kids can sit in a captain’s chair and participate in a simulation steering game. Other computer games, movies on multiple plasma screens, and arts and crafts will also be offered.

A new, jumbo light-emitting diode (LED) screen on Deck 9, affixed to the forward funnel, will provide movies and other broadcasts around the family pool area.

One of the three main rotational dining restaurants, the tropical-themed Parrot Cay, will undergo refurbishment, creating an atmosphere that will exhibit subtle changes each evening at dinner.

Disney Magic will resume seven-night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean on Oct. 15.
