Seavis Saona Island question

Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on how rough the trip to Saona Island was with Seavis. We will be traveling with an 80 yr old lady, that is in pretty good shape on our next cruise. The rest of the family would like to take this trip, and she would too, but I don't want to jeopardize her. Any info would be appreciated.

Your post will probably get moved to the DR board, but I'll respond now while I see the post! We took this excursion a couple of years ago, and I think it will be fine for your elderly guest. The most difficult part will probably be getting in and out of the boat, since you'll be doing that from the beach, not a pier. Boat crew members will be there to help if she needs a little boost! The actual ride won't be a problem - they do go fast in some areas, but not in others. After you leave the island, they stop at the starfish shallows where you CAN get out of the boat if you want, but you don't have to. Hope you enjoy it - we loved it!
