Duty Alert! Navigator of the Seas

We just got off Navigator on 8/31. It was my understanding that the tax was collected on all liquor, no matter whether you were under or over the DF limit.

We had an absolutely fantastic cruise; my 19th on RCI, so I have something to compare it to. We chose simply not to buy alcohol on this trip; and will wait to do that when we cruise out of a different port.

I love CC and have benefited enormously from the information I have gotten here, but I have to say that some of the posting nastiness is getting really old. Come on, guys, lighten up!

Thsi tax was intended for all the carpetbaggers that come through here from yankeeland and use up our natural resourses. Texas residents were also charged to be fair to all but they get it back by not having to pay state income tax.:D

I don't suppose you would mind if the Texas Travel Industry Association and the Texas Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus quote you in their literature?
