TheWog Posted August 15, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2005 Smells? Don't remember it smelling. You won't spend a lot of time there anyway, so no worries.
cruiseescape Posted August 16, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted August 16, 2005 Thanks. I thought that sounded like a really strange thing to say about it....but I thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone else thought it smelled. Thanks again!!! boondocks Posted August 17, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 17, 2005 Hell is just a bunch of iron shore that is farther inland than most of the iron shore on the island...and it can hold water and have an odor at times...but don't let that stop you from going! Friends and family back home will LOVE to get a postcard from Hell :D Enjoy Grand Cayman...it really is beautiful and it is a shame that it was destroyed in the hurricane. boondocks Posted August 17, 2005 #7 Share Posted August 17, 2005 The tourism companies would like people to believe that Grand Cayman suffered "minimal damage" but the truth is that once you leave Georgetown and venture off to the places where the native people actually live it's not a pretty thing. Close friends of ours live there and they were saying that it was estimated that 90% of homes were severely damaged or destroyed.
