Return Flight time for Port Canaveral

Just wondered what time it would be safe to book a return flight from Orlando when disembarking in Port Canaveral. Also, which would be better the RCL shutttle or taking a shuttle over to Budget and renting a car. Thanks!

The Trip From The Port To The Airport Is Approx 50 Mins. Driving Time.

We Have Always Taken The Cruiseline Shuttle. Taxi Is More Money Last Time I Checked.

Thanks for the info. Do the cruiseline shuttles run fairly early? I just don't want to get stuck waiting and miss my flight. I am considering a 2:30 flight so I would think that would be pretty safe.:)

I would book the transfers through the cruise line. We are booked on a Disney cruise in Oct. and we have our transfers with the cruise line. When you do it they have a record of your flights. They will get there on time. we were told to book a flight after 12 noon.

Buy your return transfer from the cruiseline. You don't have to do this in advance but can purchase at the pursors desk and we have bought a ticket right outside from an agent for much much less than a rental car; $10 each! Buses leave as soon as they are full. If you book a flight out about noon, request, early disembarkation and you will be given special color tags. The ride is just under an hour without traffic. Renting a car for the return would be too much of a hassle. I saw the line when we returned a car at Budget at Cocoa Beach and it was out the door with cruisers who just disembarked.

We booked a 11:30am flight out of Orlando. On the day before departure (Saturday), we received our colored luggage tags that determined which group we would be disembarking with. We simply brought our luggage tags and our plane tickets to Mariner's guest services to show that we had to disembark early and they easily traded our tags for a color group that was leaving earlier. We were off the ship and waiting for our transportation by 8:00am.
