Less Populated Beach?

What are the less populated beaches in St. Marteen that still have food and restroom facilities available? I so desperately want to go to Tintamarre Island, but we'd have to pack a picnic. Boo to that.

I would read the thread marked "Crime" on these St Maarten boards before heading off to any "secluded" areas on St. Maarten/St. Martin, or any Caribbean Island for that matter.

With facilities such as you asking for I would say Baie Rouge. I would recommend that you have a car.

Baie Rouge is a beautiful, fairly uncrowded beach, with decent food - I seem to recall that the "rest rooms" were pretty disgusting porta-toilets. You definitely want a car to get to and from.

 

Dawn Beach has very good facilities, and has never been very crowded in the two weeks we spend there every January - it can be fairly rough, but so can Baie Rouge - but being on different sides of the island, if one is too rough, the other is likely to be fairly calm.
