Lakers1041 Posted September 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2014 Hi Everyone. I have read several reviews about the Carnival Victory needing some TLC. Is this true? I have a cruise scheduled for October 23rd and should have read the reviews before booking it. Any thoughts or anyone thats sailed her recently? Thank you! Fishymom Posted September 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2014 We sailed her Halloween of last year. The ship it'self seemed just ok, there were no upgrades though. Actually I take that back, they has the tasting station set up. .. the rooms definitely needed some work! Guess it depends what you want. Just a bed to sleep in until you get to the next amazing port... then she can do that. Bells and whistles... not so much
Noremacc Posted September 10, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2014 We were just on the Victory just over 3 weeks ago. Is it a little older, yes, but it is still beautiful. Just as with anything, if you look close enough, you will find little things, but we were so busy having an amazing time that we didn't even notice. Honestly, other than some small area inside the forward elevators where the covering was coming off, I don't remember any problems. Our room was great, the staff was wonderful. I would sail on her again next week if I could.

Rare trippingpara Posted September 10, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 10, 2014 Like some of the other posters have stated, the cabins are a bit outdated (unless you like 70's style light pick trim). The public areas however appeared to be in great shape. Even though the Victory doesn't have all of the bells and whistles as the newer ships do, its pretty hard not to have a great time aboard her. The food was really good and the service was great! See my review below for more detailed photos and thoughts about the Victory. Good luck and have fun on her!
