POA Excursion suggestions for December cruise

Hi My wife and I are going on the Hawaiian cruise on POA December 20, 2014 . We will be in Oahu for 2 days at hotel before the embarkation.

We wanted to know the good and the bad excursion ideas for the trip. It looks like you have to choose something everyday or sit on the ship looking at the dock?:confused:

There are a couple if short tours you can do booking direct at port very cheap day Hawaii tours

Plus a day trip to pearl harbour including the Arizona is a must

Book at shoreside

There's no need to do the ship's tours, and doing an independent tour can be much cheaper. We rented a car for the two days and drove around the island going to Pearl Harbor, the North Shore, Polynesian Cultural Center, Ala Moana Center, Punchbowl, Diamond Head and of course, Hilo Hattie's factory tour.
