So we are booked to do the cave tubing/ zip line with BZ

The email instructions and the website both stress about the shoes.

How rugged is it?

Are good sandals- like Teva's ok?

we have water shoes for the beaches but they are pretty flimsy for this i guess.

More worried about my kids.

The path to the cave is dirt and gravel so it depends on how tenderfooted your kids are. I wore water shoes and there were a few times I wished I had something more substantial but it wasn't bad. Tevas would work just fine, just make sure they strap on so you don't lose them in the water.

We just did this excursion and were very pleased. Our guides did an actual tour and explained what we were seeing. The other tube companies just hustled people through the jungle and then in/out of the caves.
