BaltoTraveler Posted August 15, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2005 I noticed that on the list of excursions for Grand Cayman is an entire PADI scuba certification course, with 12 hours of on-board classes and pool dives. The Cayman part is just the open-water part of certification. Anyone done this, or know someone who has?
lbrooks34 Posted August 15, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2005 BaltoTraveler, I have not done this, but we did speak extensively with the onboard scuba shop on the Adventure. The Cayman part would be the check-out dives. There is another active thread on this (check page 2 or 3). If you don't mind, I would like to offer some advice. Do the classes and get checked out before you go. This way you can enjoy the cruise (I remember on the Adventure the scuba people were doing their pool session while we were in one of the ports) and not have to be concerned with getting certified. Then, when you get to Cayman, you can just jump in and do your thing. Your choice, of course, as you will absolutely love it!
