Is "My Cruise" down?

Just signed in to "my cruise" and none of my seven reservations are there. I get the "we are currently unable to access your reservation". Anyone else getting this?

I cannot see my reservation as well.

I am hoping it is just a minor hiccup and will be rectified soon.

Seems the site is having issues in general. I couldn't get past the 'tell us who's sailing' part when browsing future cruises. Went to AAA to try there and had the same problem with it being able to see Royal's info.

My guess is they are performing some sort of maintenance on the backend systems. The site cannot retrieve my reservation either. I'd wait until tomorrow and check again. To be safe, I'd also click 'Logout' to complete log out of your account.

Royal Caribbean does system maintenance on Saturday nights. I don't know why, but that is when they do it.

A lot of companies have defined maintenance windows when they perform customer affecting activities. I'd guess that typically over night on Saturday night is a low volume for their site.

 

My company has a night maintenance window from midnight to 6AM Eastern.

Yes, but it just seems like a strange time to do it. People are home, excited about their cruise. Or they have time to look at options and book. Or they have friends over, perhaps cocktails and decide to book a cruise together.:D

 

And the website is down on Saturday night.

 

It seems like Monday night at midnight would be a better choice (for customers). :)

An easy solution would be to put a notice on top instead of customers just getting an error message.

Mondays are the busiest days of the week for businesses. Saturday night makes more sense business wise. You'll always impact someone no matter what.

My ressies went MIA around midnight too. They returned by 7a.m. today. I have been trying to make reservations for MTD for our Nov. 1 cruise. Still not available. My docs were issued yesterday, so I printed my luggage tags. H
