bobsfamily Posted September 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2014 We just booked. Inside guarantee. Never did that. Good or bad? Can you bring wine on board. Diane and Jerry You can bring: "Two bottles wine per stateroom are allowed on embarkation day, subject to corkage fees." I think you have to carry them on but am not completely sure about that. Sloop-JohnB Posted September 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 15, 2014 Welcome to Celebrity !! You can bring:"Two bottles wine per stateroom are allowed on embarkation day, subject to corkage fees." I think you have to carry them on but am not completely sure about that. Info give by BOBSFAMILY is correct... Max 2 Bottles (750 ml each) per Stateroom... Doesn't matter what type of wine... We always bring Sparkling / Champagne... Because we feel it is a better value than buying aboard Safest bet is to carry the wine aboard with you in your carry on (no one truly wants their suitcase to arrive with a broken bottle... Wet / Dirty Clothes... Or worse... Ruined) There is no Corkerage charged if you open the bottles in your Stateroom... Only if you bring them to be opened in venue (DR - Buffet - Specialty Restaurant) Also once open you can enjoy it wherever... Your Steward can get you appropriate wine glasses. Hope this helps, Cheers!
mamamzee Posted September 15, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 15, 2014 We booked inside guarantee on Carnival and Holland America and both times went to a suite for not much more money. But--we've never tried it on Celebrity. It's a chance, you might be lucky or REALLY lucky or be in an inside in the depths. I think it's fun to test your luck but others don't.
