elation???

Is the elation getting dry dock this month or am I looking at an old list, and if yes do we know what she is getting///

The Elation just departed on a 5 day sailing, returning on the 20th. It will leave New Orleans on Saturday and probably arrive at Freeport late Sunday night.

 

I have not seen an official announcement of what will be done, but it is a 20 day dry dock, so hopefully it is more than the normal "new carpet, replace tv's" drydock.

Work on the hull, pool, hot tubs, carpet and tile. No major upgrades

Elation is scheduled for drydock starting on September 25th through October 9th. Carnival shows the following.

Planned for September 2014 Dry-Dock

 

· Routine hotel maintenance

 

· Cosmetic enhancements such as new carpeting and tile work in lounges and public areas

 

· Fitness Center and Spa Carnival upgrades

 

· Club O2 upgrades

What happens to the staff during dry dock? Where do they go? What do they do?

They are working alongside the construction teams

Most of the staff goes home or get a vacation. Some stay on to work.
