Just been watching the ship tracker at this website...

http://www.novascotiawebcams.com/en/webcams/chebucto-head/

and when I click ship tracker and zoom out I see the Gem moving from Halifax to Saint John.

then I move it down and wonder when the Gem leaves Boston for Newport does it go south or north of Nantucket, and does the Gem go north or south around Martha's Vineyard...

Unusual question I know.. not a typical how were the specialty restaurant kind of question.. but I figure there are some sailors on board that would know this type of nautical info.

go to track ships

move down about where the gem should be and put your mouse over the purple ships til you find the gem.

then click on it and a window comes up and if you select the tracking feature it will show the Gem's route for the last 24 hours.

Right now the Gem is south of Nantucket probably following a shipping lane before she heads over to Newport.
