Departure Day Tour vs DIY

HI,

We are trying to decide between doing the ships San Juan Tour on departure day or else just debarking and doing a DIY day. Our flight leaves at 6pm so DIY seems feasible but I am concerned about having to tote around our luggage? Any ideas about either plan would be appreciated!

No need to pay for the ship's tour. There will be many drivers with buses at the pier exit. Many of them are offering exactly what you want. Find a group you feel comfortable with that can get you to the airport by 4 p.m. You don't want to cut your flight too close since SJU can be messy leaving when the cruise ships port. The prices are pretty much all the same due to competition. They will store your luggage and even your carry on. The buses are either locked or always have a driver so no need to worry about your suitcases.
