Conquest vs Splendor

We are looking to go on vacation on feb and need help. What ship would you take the Conquest 8 days (st Maarten, St Kitts, San Juan and Grand Turk) or the Splendor (Cozumel, Costa Maya, Mahogany Bat, Grand Cayman). It will be my husband, myself and 9 year old. We are not sit on the beach people and We have been to some of the ports before, but not all. Thanks

Can't help with the ports as I sail almost exclusively on the west coast.

 

Similarities --Same deck plan. Below decks is the same.

 

Differences--

Conquest's covered pool is aft. Her lido is stepped

Splendor's covered pool is midship.

Her lido is two story.

 

Conquest has guys burgers and the iguana and fish and chips

Splendor has the tandoor.

 

Splendor is wider than the conquest. There is more seating around the pools and in the buffet.

 

Splendor has a kids waterworks and a serenity deck.

 

We've sailed twice on the Splendor when she was out here and did a B2B on the Conquest last year. Can't go wrong with either ship.

 

I'd choose the Splendor simply for the Tandoor.

Conquest! I've sailed both ships and the Splendor was my least favorite. Although I love both itins, the Eastern has the nicer ports...IMO :D

Wow! These are equally wonderful, I think. Equally good ships and itineraries. Since you are not beach people like I am, however, I would go with the Eastern itinerary. IMO, it has the better variety of nonbeach activities.

I love both ships but I agree that the Eastern itinerary has interesting ports.

Both nice ships but conquest has the 2.0 upgrades

Been on the Splendor and Liberty (Conquest's category). Wasn't too thrilled with the Splendor at all and Conquest's itinerary is more interesting. I'd go with the Conquest.
