Is there a welcome back party and a safe . . .

Recommended Posts

Hi

We have been on the Empress 4 times already. Now that she has been refurbished, they might have safes in all the cabins. But before, when we were on deck 4, no safes, since then on deck 8 we have had them. We will be sailing on her again on the 17th & 22nd of Sept. B2B.

They have always had a welcome back party, but it might have been just for Platinum and Diamond.

Hope this helps you.

We are platinum members, so I guess we will have a party to attend then! This is our first cruise as platinum, so not sure just what perks we will now get. I see we are almost neighbors. We are just across the PA state line. We are flying out of Pittsburgh. Looking forward to a quick get-a-way for some R&R. Hope you have a great B2B on her!

Maybe it's not a "welcome back party"--maybe it is a "sailing away party". Do they have a "sailing away party"? That was the only thing I loved about the Disney cruise was their sail away party.

Debshomespun: Not sure how far away you are from us. We are about 15 minutes from the airport. Last cruise on the Empress we had a welcome back party up in the Viking Lounge right before first seating. There was probably about 20 people there. It was nice. However this was the first one that the crew did not talk. We also had a tray of chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our room from the Loyal Ambassador. Nice touch. Your coupon book will have some better coupons. When are you cruising.

Medolee: Empress always has a band playing up on the pool deck when the ship sails. Not much of a party. Lots of people dancing and singing, but it lasts about 15 minutes, then people leave. You will enjoy your cruise.

We are cruising 9-3-05, the 6 night going to Key West and Grand Cayman. We are just across the Ohio line on Interstate 80. We are about 55 minutes from the Pittsburgh airport.

Usually anything less than 7 nights is not long enough for us, but this cruise will help to tide us over until next year. We are booked on the Freedom for 9-10-06 also.

Probably an hour away from us. We were going to do the enchantment, but felt we could do the 5 night and 4 night on the empress. We have been on this ship enough to know we love it. But i to hate to do less than 7 nights. How wonderful to be booked for the Freedom, we looked into it, but i think next year will be a family vacation on land. New grandchild on the way, so we will stay close to home.

Hope you have a wonderful time.
