We will be arrive Cozumel by ship on November 24th and plan to go to Chankanaab on our own. Some sites say they open at 8am and others 9am. Does anyone know?

The ship port time is 7am. Is that Cozumel time?

We would like to do the zipline first. Does anyone know how long this takes?

We are planning to reserve the dolphin encounter for 1pm. Do you have to be there before 1pm? It says 15 minute briefing and 30 minutes experience. Is that pretty accurate? Can we plan to be done with the dolphins at 2pm?

Somewhere in this time we hope to do a little bit of snorkeling too.

What is the best option for a quick lunch?

Ship leaves port at 4pm so we need to be back at 3:30pm. If we leave Chankanaab at 3pm is that enough time?

Please feel free to share anything else that might help me plan. Thank you

I cannot answer all of your questions but we had food and beverage brought to us at our loungers while we snorkeled. Ran a tab and settled when ready to leave. It only took us a few minutes to get back to the ship. The driver drove quite, quite fast...seriously. It is not a long ride. It was a pretty good shore snorkel.

What is the best option for a quick lunch? They offer good food/drinks/service at Chank.

Taxi to/from Chank - depending slightly upon which pier you are at - should be quick (10 minutes or less) and about $10-11+tip for up to 4 in the cab. There are some on-line coupons that will save you a few $$ on your admission fee, which may not be a factor depending upon how you booked your dolphin swim.

Hi. We did the dolphin swim at Chankanaab. When you get off the boat there will be lots of taxis. They charged $11 to take us (3) to the park and it was about an 8 minute drive. We got there about 9:00 am and it felt like we were the only ones there. Once at the park they will take you to a spot to wait for others doing the same encounter as you. It is a really short briefing (10 min) and then you wait your turn to go into the water with the other people and the dolphin trainer. The amount of time in the water depends on how many are in your group. You have to wait for each person to complete their turns because everyone has about 5 different things they do with the dolphins. So, I would figure maybe 40-50 min. They have a few spots to snorkel but the water is choppy but they do have a small area that is closed in that you can use as well. They have restaurants on the property to order food. I would say for you to leave the park at 3:15 so that way you wont have to worry about getting back late.:D

Thank you for the information. Did you reserve the dolphin activity online before your arrival or did you just do it once you arrived at the part?

Hi Mypascalina,

We reserved it before the cruise online through their website. We printed off the receipt (be sure you do that) and had no problems.

Forgot to add they have other stuff you can do in the park like a free seal show and they have a walking trail with miniature ruins and some crocodiles, birds, lizards - (the restaurant is at the exit of this). They have free chairs for the beach part and a pool w/a bar. They also have a bar or 2 on the beach and a souvenir shop.
