If you have the Unlimited Soda Package, can you hand them a larger cup for them to fill?

In the past, I have indeed had them fill my own cup, yes.

The tumblers that they sell are relatively inexpensive ($5 or 6$), and are pretty sturdy and durable.

I should have put the reason I asked...LOL! We were on RCL and they gave you a tumbler but it barely held very much and they ended up filling it mostly with ice anyways.

Sure. Take your own tumbler and they will fill it for you. If you don't like much ice, just tell the server.

I bring a Tervis style cup. i like having a cover as I tend to spill things:rolleyes: and have never had a problem getting them to fill that one. I get a cheap, from TJMaxx or Marshalls so if it get broken or I forget it somewhere, no great loss. I dont bring a straw (1 less thing to wash out) I just grab one from the bar.
