catkoe1 Posted August 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2005 I am going to Kona, Hawaii for work next week... and I am showing next week, August 21-25th showers everyday. Now I have been to Hawaii many times and haven't seen so many showers indicators on the weather channel. We will be in Kailua Kona, on the big Island at the Sheraton....will there be sporadic showers or showers all of the time? Hope not... Let me know your thoughts on this. Especially those that live in Hawaii. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Happy Cruisin:cool:
spleen93 Posted August 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2005 We have a couple of hurricane remnants from the eastern Pacific heading our way - it could be that we'll have a stretch of rainy weather. A couple of caveats - long range forecasts (anything more than a few days out) are never very accurate. Kona tends to be very dry so even if it's pouring buckets in Hilo, it may be sunny in Kona. And even if there's rain, there's still plenty of ways to enjoy Hawaii - remember that it's the way that things stay green (or the lava rocks remain moist, especially in Kona ;)) Spleen
