. . . and every time I visit, it keeps getting better.

I don't know whether they still run free trolleys from a street a couple of blocks from the ship, but if they do, it's a nonbrainer. Gets you to the fort, which otherwise would be a pretty strenuous uphill walk. Your biggest enemy during the stay may be the fact that sunset happens quite early, just past 6 p.m. But when you get to the fort, you realize that the panorama is spectacular, so it may be of secondary importance to go inside.

In fact, the best views of El Morro are from your ship, coming and going. Portside in, starboard out. Daylight in, dramatic lights when you depart.

Close to the fort (and on the way back to the ship, all downhill) is a university with its landmark structures. Narrow streets then lead back to the port area, with lots of renovated buildings.

Also, close to the ship on the embankment is a park with souvenir vendors and kiosks that do pina coladas.

San Juan is one of my favorites. We once did an overall city tour and were less than impressed.

Dear jordans mom,

In OSJ so many things to do as well see. We God Willing are scheduled to be in OSJ, P.R. on a.d. 12/04/2014 3 to 10 pm This Port of Call is a wonderful POC and stop as not only its immense size as a Cargo/Trading/Banking/Shopping, and culinary Port.

If you wager across from the Pier next to the Ferry Service to Baccardi a nice Casino. But like the majority the grub is in need of going nearby..so yes research your desires, costs, and what is near them. One Casino is allowed in each local.

Always use caution and have a wonderful time. If you were in OSJ when we were hope to have met youall too.

So - we have never been to SJ/PR before - we will be there the first week in December - and it is in port on a Tuesday.

I would expect the Forts to be closed by the time we get off the ship - I am not really a shopper.

So, any suggestions are welcome.

THANKS!
