Best beach spot Fort Lauderdale?

We are spending a few days at Galleryone before our freedom cruise and we are not familiar with the area and want to take the my girls ages 13 and 10 to the beach. Which area of the beach is best for kids and swimming.. We would like to be near bathrooms and a lifeguard.. Thank you:)

We are also staying at Galleryone. We will have 6 adults a 4 year old and 10 month old. Would love to know more about the beaches too!

There is a private beach on property but it is on the waterway and there is no entry into the water. It is next to the pool.

 

As far as beach, I would just go to the beach at the end of Sunrise which is the closest one to your hotel. The closest beach with bathrooms you'd have to drive to which is right beside Harbour Beach at the park. Those bathrooms can get gross. They are cleaned daily but some people act like animals.
