back to back time in Miami

Hello, we're going for 2 weeks on the Getaway in November and we have to get off the ship after the first week when she returns to Miami to unload and reload new passengers. I'm trying to find out how late we can stay on the ship and how soon we can get back on as back to backers. Are we let back on sooner than the other new passengers? Are we in an area of the terminal apart from the new passengers? Some friends are joining us for the second week and we're trying to hide from them in the terminal because of a surprise we're planning. Does anyone have recent experience with the timing of all this? Thanks in advance for any info. :D

I would imagine NCL is the same as other cruise lines?

I have done back 2 backs in Miami -

In our experience you get a letter to your cabin - You and all others on B2B- gather in a meeting point and are walked off the ship as soon as the ship is cleared - pass through customs/immigration - and walk right back on again - takes around 15 minutes from walk off point. You dont bump into passengers in the terminal - its all done in a process. I would imagine (am sure NCL guests will verify) its the same for all cruiselines.
