Hairy Dog Cruiser Posted October 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2014 We recently cruised on the Dream. When we got back to our cabin free cruise letter was waiting! The problem is the cruises that are available are all within the next 5 weeks. If we don't use it this time (because who can ask off again from work when just coming back from a week off) will we ever receive another free cruise offer from the casino without having to cruise again and drop another pile of money in the casino??? Hairy Dog Cruiser- We just got one of the letters on Miracle a couple of weeks ago. I looked it over, called, and it was legit. We are now booked on the Sunshine for Oct 25 for a 7 day cruise. Doing another cruise so fast normally would not be possible, but it just happened to mesh with our work schedules. Both of us have fabulous bosses that said we shouldn't pass up the opportunity. :) The only gotchas I found were that no changes were allowed, and that if we were no-shows, the entire cruise would be charged to our credit card, so we took the insurance ($95 each). It worked out to $425 + gratuities for 2 of us for a 7-day cruise. We just couldn't pass that up. Check your offer carefully... ours was a BBW8 code, and the restriction was that we had to BOOK within two weeks (Oct 3), but we could cruise for up to 8 days BEFORE January 31, 2015 where there was availability. The cruise we got was actually our 3rd choice (the two 8 day trips we tried first out of Port Canaveral were not available). Also, check at Carnival.com/offers with your VIFP number, and you might have other casino offers available for a longer timeframe. Good luck finding a cruise that works for you, and good luck in the casino when you get there! Wendy
HawkIVette Posted October 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) If we don't use it this time (because who can ask off again from work when just coming back from a week off) will we ever receive another free cruise offer from the casino without having to cruise again and drop another pile of money in the casino??? Probably not. The offer you got is a little different then the others I have gotten. I have gotten two offers from the casino more like what Wendy got. Any cruise I wanted. Had to be booked in the next 2 weeks. Cruise during the next 3 months. But these offers do come from the casino Manager of the cruise you were just on. Therefore they are related to the way you played on that cruise. Not how much you lost, but how long and how big of bets you wagered. I say this because I have gotten a "letter" on a cruise where I won over $5K for the week and where I have lost $3K for the week. It's different from Casino Host to other Casino Host, maybe how many free cruise letters they can give out that week, but it comes from your play on that ship. If turned down, most likely will not get another from the casino host. But it doesn't mean that Players Club has not got you on their list for Casino Offers for specific cruises.
