Dream issues

If there is a problem with the A/C on the Dream (and the complaints seem to have sprung up in the last month), there is no reason to believe that it would be the same in 5 months. There may or may not be a systemic problem onboard, or there may be some maintenance issues with sections of the system (the complaints seem to come and go in various areas), but I would not expect the company to give you any assurance for a cruise 5 months in advance, other than to say everything will be fine.

The much maligned standard answer that the cabin temperature "is within standards" just means that Carnival has, as do all cruise lines and hotels, a standard temperature range, within which there will be no compensation for an A/C complaint. 72* is pretty much industry standard. Will they work to make your A/C colder? It depends on what the problem is, and whether it is readily fixable, but whether they work on it or not, or whether they "fix" it or not, as long as the cabin temperature is within range, there will be no compensation.
