Mrs Soup Posted October 15, 2014 #26 Share Posted October 15, 2014 I was there last month and we tendered in, walked to the downtown area and there is a trolly that goes to the casino/ballroom, up to the botanical gardens and Wrigley Monument. It also goes by the tender embarkation. The cost was $2.00 one way, $4.00 round trip and $7.00 for all day. The full trip takes about an hour. It gave us a chance to see the basics and choice to get off to do more exploring at any of the stops.

In some cities that have these, I have found no room to "hop on", and have had to wait for several trolleys to pass by until there is one with any available seats. Thanks in advance! Ahhh Posted October 15, 2014 #29 Share Posted October 15, 2014 I personally think that one of the beauties about Catalina Island is that is "not for everyone", which I hope keeps those in doubt, on the ship. I find it magical, as there is so much to do other than the typical tourist expectations. After numerous stops there, I am thrilled to be able to visit it again. But then, I am NOT your typical tourist! I always feel as though I have been on "vacation" after visiting, and will leave it at that ;).
