Jimmy Geegitz Posted October 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2014 We like to have a cheese plate with our wine on the balcony. The cheeses on the buffet aren't that great. We like specialty cheeses like Manchego and Iberico. Can we bring these on?
cb at sea Posted October 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2014 If they are pre-packaged, sure. If they are "raw" cheese...nope.

I would also confirm whether or not you have a mini-fridge in your room to keep it chilled. Also, I have asked for a cheese plate to go(dessert menu) in the main dining room, which was always provided, to save for later. Those are usually a bit more interesting options than cheese on the buffet.
Tinkerkelle Posted October 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 13, 2014 My husband just orders the cheese plate from the dessert menu in the MDR and takes it back to our cabin to eat later. Just bring along baggies!

Just bring along baggies! Every once in awhile we get the cheese plate as an extra appetizer for dinner and wondering why we stopped doing this recently. hbrote Posted October 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 13, 2014 On our last cruise we ordered 3 different trays of food from Bon Voyage. The cheese tray was fantastic. A huge difference from the one offered on the dessert menu.
wrigley80 Posted October 13, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 13, 2014 We usually bring snacks onboard with us....like crackers and cookies. My dad is a diabetic and they come in handy when we are in port on excursions
