We will be arriving in Curacao on Nov. 10, 2014 by cruise ship. Our port times are 8am to 9pm. We do not have any plans for the day. We do enjoy snorkeling from the beach. This is where we need help. With such great port times would it be in our best interest to rent a car and travel on our own to beaches or walk around town in the am do a ship excursion in afternoon then watch sunset near the ship? Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated..

Thanks and have a great day,

Denise

You have unique port hours. Excellent opportunity to rent a car and go snorkeling at the Western beaches (Lagun, Porto Marie - better snorkeling).

There is an Avis booth at the cruise pier, please make reservations in advance.

We took your advice and reserved a car from Avis. Do you know where I can easily get a road map and or beach map? I use a tablet and have limited internet access. Also can you recommend the better snorkeling beaches and somewhere for lunch?

Thanks again
