options for post cruise stay

heya all,

Been looking around.. DH and I have decided to spend one night in NOLA after our cruise. We'll arrive back the fifth of November and only staying one night.. we wanted to stay in the french quarter.

 

here's some of the ones we're considering, opinions appreciated

 

St. Vincent's Guest House (have heard very different opinions on this one),french quarter courtyard, La Maison Bleu(how close is this? is it safe?), Empress Hotel, Omni Royal Crescent,

 

any other reccomendations would be welcome also.

Try checking out the Inn on Bourbon. Its a Ramada property...and if you want the action in the French Quarter....it can't be beat. A little pricey tho!!

You may also try either of the Holiday Inns. They are each just 1 blk either side of Bourbon St. We have friends who have stayed at both and were happy. Close enough to Bourbon St without the noise.

I've stayed at the Omni Royal Crescent last year and plan on returning back next week. I really enjoyed our stay and it was located where we could walk to just about anywhere. It was reasonably priced too. Just my opinion though.:D
