Port Canaveral - 12 hours in port car rental

Need some help with this port because I am probably planning to much, hoping a local, or previous car renter can point me in the right direction.

 

 

Am in Port for 12 hours in November and am renting a car and would really appreciate help with my proposed itinerary.

 

 

Am picking up the car from Payless, and first stop will be the Twister Airboat Rides at Loan Cabbage Fish Camp for the 30 or 60 minute tour at 10am. Next stop Kennedy Space Center for a few hours. Then to Merritt Island Nature Reserve, before returning Via Cocoa Beach to the ship.

 

 

Am i Planning to much - we are in port from 0700 onwards - maybe I am better off going straight to Kennedy Space Center to beat the crowds and be there for 0900 opening?

 

 

What would your recommend - Merritt Island or Cocoa Beach if I could only do one or the other ?

You could easily spend the whole day at Kennedy with some of their tours and things to see. Take a good look at their web site. I don't think it would be worth a two hour stop there, if that's all you have time for may want to take it out.
