Poker games available on the Liberty of the Seas?.

Going on the Liberty in January. I like to play poker (Texas Hold 'Em) and I would like to know if there are ring games played during the day and or at night. (Not Carribean Stud or Three Card).

Also, if there are real games, what is the rake?

From what I gather there is an official tourney.

Thanks

I haven't been (yet) but friend who went on Freedom (same class as Liberty) said they had ring games at night. It's an electronic poker table. No physical dealer, or cards or chips. You're all sitting at the table but everything is done on screens.

He said a couple of nights there was no interest so no ring games. He had fun playing but the rake is very high, like double what you pay in a casino.

I hate the electronic poker tables. I find it hard to conceive that with 4k folks on board a live game of 6 can't be had.

Looks like I will be saving some money!

I'm with you. I love to play poker and don't live near any (legal) poker rooms. So I was looking forward to playing some on board until he told me what it was. Said the tourney was a joke. Blinds go up so fast it's a random luckfest.

Someday I'll go on one of the Card Player cruises they have on RC. (Good luck talking wife into it LOL). They set up a big Vegas style poker room on the ship with real dealers, etc.

I played on the explorer in March, it was a 10% rake I think capped at $10 or it might have been $20. Either way it was so high I left after 20 minutes when I realized what it was. On the explorer it was a live dealer ring game.
