O/t - Orlando

This is not really a cruise related question, but I know lots of you are from Florida and might be able to provide me with some information. I'm going to Orlando in September (no hurricanes allowed!) on business, and staying over the next weekend for pleasure.

My first question -- any hints on discount passes for Disney/Universal?

Next, anyone have any experience with either Disney's Pop Century or Residence Inn/SeaWorld? I'm getting pretty good rates at either hotel, and am having trouble deciding if I'd rather be staying in the Disney madhouse or off-site. We are planning on going to Universal Studios part of the time, and I can't figure out how to get from Disney to Universal unless I rent a car. If I rent a car, either hotel option will work. If I don't rent a car, then we'd obviously need to stay at Disneyworld, but then how do I get to Universal?

I've never been to Florida before and am really stressing about this one! Thanks in advance.
