dannyt818 Posted August 20, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2005 Just got back from my first cruise I LOVED the Coco Loco alcoholic drink? I am looking for ingredients and instructions on making them at home. Thanks!
truffles2 Posted August 20, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2005 There have been many recipes posted on this thread so you might try doing an advanced search....be sure to scroll down and hit Royal Caribbean. You can get a pretty good one by adding papaya juice and grenadine to Pina Colada mix...also add a little simple sugar syrup. If you think they are good now, you should have had one from the old days when RCI made their own Pina Colada mix and blended things in blenders (instead of those awful Oasis machines which do not blend enough and leave little chunks of ice:eek:). CSNoles Posted August 21, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2005 I have used recipe #2 from above and it is identical to what I had on the ship. I actually make more with 3oz of each rum, 1oz of grenidine, and 2oz of the rest. Think I might be going to make one now :-)
LogansDad Posted August 21, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 21, 2005 We've made exactly recipe #2 posted above all winter long, waiting for our next cruise. Pretty yummy and I think it is just like the one on the ship...

It is the same recipe that I use and you cannot tell the difference in taste. (add a little extra booze though) Whip some up and close your eyes and you may think you are back on the ship again until you open your eyes and you are still home and then you really start putting away the Coco Loco's wishing you were back on the ship again.:D Bob:)
