Elaine515 Posted October 31, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2014 Just got off the phone with a Carnival Rep after dialing 1-888-672-2582 which is the # I have always dialed to speak with Michael or someone in the Casino Dept only to be told that they are no longer speaking with us verbally :( I was told to either leave a voice mail (which she did transfer me to) or send an email to casino@carnival.com and its a 3 day turnaround... Has anyone spoken to Michael or anyone else directly in the Casino Dept very very recently, and if so, what # did you dial ? The reason I want to verbally speak to someone is that I did email them about 4 weeks ago, never got a response and we're leaving next Thursday... Thanks

topspin1267 Posted October 31, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2014 I received the same information. I emailed and had a response same day. Seems like they are now responding to email much more quickly.

YorN Posted November 1, 2014 #12 Share Posted November 1, 2014 Can't say I am surprised. Can not imagine how many calls they would get per day from people that put $10 in a slot machine on their last cruise and looking for freebies for a future cruise. Goodness, look how many people are looking for free cake, free decorations, free ship on a stick. I email about two weeks before my cruise and hear back within a day or two. Even though I am a Gator I will answer your question (Just Kidding) Usually when I contact the players club I am seeing if I qualify for any casino cash or a drinks on us card. This worked out like a charm for us on our last cruise. My wife received $100.00 in cash and we both were given the drinks on us card the first night of the cruise. We also received a comped steakhouse dinner on the night of our choosing. I suggest being pleasant and make sure any casino host knows how much you appreciate whatever they can do for you. Having said that CHOMP. Of course my boys aren't looking all that good this year.

I email about two weeks before my cruise and hear back within a day or two. What's wrong with asking for something? The thing about this is, they do give things to players, they just don't announce it so the person wa merely asking. And funny how you made a statement like that and turned around and admitted to doing so yourself. Not stirring a pot but people are so critical here. It's "Cruise Critic" NOT People Critic"
andy.capitan Posted November 3, 2014 #20 Share Posted November 3, 2014 Probably got tired of being inundated with calls from people who wanted a free cruise. Call and leave a message or send an email or both, if no response within a reasonable period of time try again.

andy.capitan Posted November 3, 2014 #23 Share Posted November 3, 2014 There is no guarantee than an email will actually arrive at it's destination and spam filters can interfere. Sounds like a combo voice mail and email is the way to go.
