golfb4cruzing Posted November 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2014 We leave next weekend aboard the Ruby. Yes!!! How would someone get in touch with us in case of an emergency? I'm not usually concerned but our daughter is in the process of buying a new home. Thanks for your help.
Whimsy Posted November 1, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 1, 2014 (edited) From the Princess website: To provide greater peace of mind while you're away from home, give friends and relatives the following information on how to telephone you. For all ships in the Princess Fleet, dial 877-656-7447. Calls will be charged to a credit card in both the US and Canada. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card (not Canadian) are all accepted. The cost for each call is $8.95 USD per minute or $11.95 CAD per minute and is subject to change without notice. When calling, please include passenger name and stateroom number to ensure quick delivery. Passengers may use their personal mobile devices onboard while at sea in international waters and in other areas where such use is permitted. A compatible mobile device and a service plan capable of roaming internationally with Maritime Communications Partners AS is required. Please contact your wireless service provider for availability and rates. For calls originating outside of the US and Canada, the following numbers should be used, preceded by your country's International Direct Dialing (IDD) code and the global ocean code 870. Please contact your long distance service provider for pricing. For example, if you would like to call the Ocean Princess in the Pacific Ocean from the United States, dial 011 870 773 156 737. For the Ruby if calls originate outside the US: Phone Number 764-877-443 Fax Number 764-877-445 Edited November 1, 2014 by Whimsy
Centsless_Cruiser Posted November 1, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 1, 2014 From "All Things Cruising" website There is one additional alternative - Call a Princess Cruises ship by dialing 1-900-329-SHIP (1-900-329-7447) from the United States or 1-900-565-2800 from Canada. Charges will be billed to the calling phone number’s account. Be prepared by having the Cabin Number available and if it is an Emergency you should let the Passenger Services staff know. Hope this helps and that you don't need to use it.
Princess Patches Posted November 1, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 1, 2014 The cheapest way to keep in touch with those at home is through email. If you are platinum or elite you get free internet minutes you can use to email friends and family. If not, then you can purchase an internet package. I would save any phone calling on board the ship to medical emergencies only because it is very expensive.
