Dawn in Bermuda

Anyone know why she is sitting away from the pier?

 

We were told on our Gem cruise that the pier had been repaired from the hurricane damage

It has been repaired. We were on the Dawn last week, and we docked. We are also curious why she has not docked.

According to the Bermuda Gazette they are having 34mph winds with higher gusts.

I was just going to say that I think they are having high winds. They had them yesterday and the water is moving pretty good today also.

If you have your speakers on you can hear the winds. They are suppose to continue through tonight and decrease tomorrow. No clearing until late Tuesday. That's my forecast for today!!

 

Looks like the tugs are pushing her in now.

it seems she is pulling in slowly, now closer to the pier

In answer to the original post, the Dawn was due to be docked by 11AM Bermuda time as per the itinerary. She was docked before 11AM this morning.

 

Yes, sometimes she docks earlier. However, if it is windy I can see why they would be cautious and slowly approach the pier.
