PugLover712 Posted November 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2014 We are booked on the Reflection later this month. The prices on our cruise have dropped considerably. We are booked in a 2B Veranda and the prices for the Concierge Class are now $50 less than what we paid (the same category is $130 less :( ). The Aqua Class cabins are $150 more which would be $300 total. My dilemma is whether or not to upgrade to the Aqua Class. We've never cruised Celebrity before, so we are not familiar with the perks. We know there is Blu, but since we've never eaten in a Celebrity MDR, we don't know what the difference is. Any advice on whether or not we should pay for the upgrade to Aqua Class. Also, we have chosen not to upgrade to Concierge. We don't like the locations of any of the cabins and we don't really see the value.
cheryl20772 Posted November 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2014 (edited) Hi, we've cruised in aquaclass on Eclipse, Solstice and Infinity. We haven't cruised any other class on Celebrity. We like having fruit and bottled water in our cabin each day. We like daily access to the thermal suite /relaxation room and we love dining in Blue. That's like specialty restaurant with table for two every night. Also, specialty restaurants don't do song and dance and don't require formal wear for formal nights. If you don't care about these things and would prefer to sit with friends at dinner, it's not for you. Phxazzcruisers Posted November 3, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2014 Food is very subjective, but for only $300.00 we would definitely go to Aqua Class. We love eating breakfast and dinner in Blu. We find the food to be excellent. It is not "health food" but healthier size portions of great food. We also prefer the atmosphere in Blu more than the hustle and bustle of the MDR. There are also some other benefits of Aqua Class, the Persian Gardens, which we do not use, free bottled water and free flavored teas daily, among some others. If there are good locations, we would definitely go for it. wacruiser77 Posted November 3, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2014 Got upgraded to Aqua Class last Mediterranean cruise. It's great if price is competitive. I especially liked the quiet lounge facing forward (Equinox) and the Blu restaurant although imho the main dr food was just as good.
