Hi bouhunter. I am looking to stay a night before our cruise in jan. These are the 3 hotels I'm looking at, but I cannot decide on which one!! They are all around the same price but all have qualities I like! Can you please give me some input on these hotels? Which one is closer to old San Juan? And which one did you like the best? Thanks in advance!!

Bingo!!!

Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel & Casino. (Good Hotel next to the cruises, Fort El Morro, and old San Juan streets: La Princesa, etc...)

If you want to stay next to the beach and closer to the Airport, go to Isla Verde Beach Area: El San Juan Hilton Resort & Casino (Best Hotel in Puerto Rico) or Embassy Suites San Juan Hotel & Casino (all-suite hotel that

offers great value with free breakfast and complimentary evening Reception).

Anyone have a opinion on the InterContinental. The property looks nice and I can stay for free using points, but the reviews I have read show the customer service to be extremely lacking here.

It's been over 5 years since I have stayed at the Intercontinental. We loved it there. OUr service was excellent, however we befriended a frequent flyer on day one, who was well known and loved at the hotel. So I can't claim everyones service would be different or the same. However we are likely to book it again for our next cruise.

We are trying a new place... Ciqala ... Very inexpensive for what looks like a great spacious suite. Under 200 a night. I think for 3 bedrooms it was only 220???

Let us know how you liked this place. We are also staying there on our return from our cruise.

We loved it. It was very nice and service was fantastic! We were exhausted so we went downstairs and asked about pizza delivery and she printed out a menu online and phoned in the order for us. There is a lovely bar on the roof and a small pool. (More of a sit and take in the view pool!)

The rooms were very spacious and comfortable and there was a washer and dryer as well. I think the box of tide was three dollars.

There is a convenience store next door for snacks but the fridge is also stocked with very affordable items.

There was a restaurant across and the the kitchen on site was open certain hours.

The room was gorgeous!!! We will stay there again!!!
