KenC,

Thanks for the tips on the port stops. Truly appreciated!

Hi Tim and Terry

Glad to be of help, I'm sure you will really enjoy the cruise to Venice - it's one itinerary I could happily do again!!

Hope to see you two and brother on board for a cocktail. There's usually a Friends of Dorothy meet but sometimes they are at silly times??

Cheers

Hi Bob & Cor

The Diamond Lounge on Vision is very small (unless there are so many Diamonds that they open another bar for us). We normally enjoy our free Diamond drinks on our shipcards in the R Bar or Viking Crown. Let's see what happens - we don't mind trying the Diamond Lounge if it's not too crowded!! We are on Late Dining what about you?

Cheers

Hello everyone, again. This is Doug from the Mar 30 Vision post above. Last night Royal had the most wonderful of sales, so I was up til 330am while their computer glitch got fixed to take advantage of another Vision TA. This spring on the TA the Diamond and Concierge lounges were overflowing, and they did indeed have to open up overflow areas in adjoining areas. Maybe it won't be too crowded, but some of us mature folks can hold our liquor. I will be staying a few days in Amsterdam before the cruise due to no last minute frequent flyer flights, but sometimes you just have to take things as they come. Looking forward to meeting you all. See you on the 30th. Say hello. Doug

Hey Doug

Glad you decided to join us - you must have been lucky to snap a bargain, I don't think there's not much space left!! Let's hope they open a larger bar as the diamond lounge - the current one is a bit pokey. At least we have 3 free drinks on the shipcard before dinner!! Look forward to meeting you - we will look for you, think we can find you from your avatar!!

Cheers

Ken C is being generous and kind to say Vision's Diamond Lounge "is a bit pokey". You have to be an acrobat to walk around the furniture they have stuffed in the tiny room, and even the bar staff has problems delivering trays of drinks with people standing. Luckily the Some Enchanted Evening Lounge is usually available and the concierge opens it up for overflow most nights. On the Spring TA there were over 300 Diamond members and 150+ Diamond Plus and above onboard. The C&A lounges just aren't able to handle that many cruisers, especially the Diamond lounge. Doug

Hi Doug

Unfortunately only the diamond lounge was in action when we were last onboard in June - hence our poor opinion of the space!! As it is likely there will be a large number of diamonds on the TA, then a bigger lounge will be great.

Cheers

Ken, the Diamond Lounge is cramped on any cruise with jsut the usual number of Diamond members. The TransAtlantic cruises bring larger number of Diamond and up C&A members. This happens on all the Royal ships. You just can't handle those numbers in the Diamond Lounge. Royal has added 3 drinks on your card to try to disperse people. But it's nicer when they open up the big room outside the Diamond Lounge. Also. many people who could go to the Concierge lub enjoy meeting the people in the Diamond Lounge. We can talk about it. Doug, absolutely agree, it will be much more fun with the diamonds in some enchanted evening! Sometimes though it is nice to have the 3 free drinks so one can try another bar for a change!!

Cheers

Yes, it's been very unsettled on the Costa del Sol for weeks - so much rain in the past week!!! It's sunny and 22 deg here in Mijas right now but not sure if it will last until Sunday!!

See you onboard - we fly to Barcelona this evening
