formals for tall women...

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy nice formal evening gowns for tall women? I am 6' tall and a size 3/4. I can't find a gown that is long enough! On my cruise last month, I wore short cocktail dresses. I'm looking for something a bit more formal for my next cruise (next Spring). Thanks! Love, Juliah

Hi Juliah
I have the same problem. I'm 5'11'' barefoot and I wear a size 7. It's a hit and miss with the long formals. . I had to spend a lot of time going to different stores. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent just trying gowns on. But, they are out there.
My first gown that was long enough was bought at Windsor Fashions. I think the price was reduced because they could no sell it because it was so long. Being tall can have it's advantages .

Have you thought about going to a bridal shop and looking at their bridesmaids dresses? You can have these dresses made in any color and size. Since you have the time, you could order a gown custom made. There are so many more styles there to choose from, it doesn't have to look like a bridesmaid dress.

I'm 5'7" and I do envy your height, I've always wished I were a few inches taller.

Sometimes they have a better selection than other times. Im only 5'5 and even with my 4 inch heels the dresses are too long. I had to have it shortened. My friend that is 5'11 told me about the site. I bought one last year from this site and love it!

This is exactly the reason, I had a floor length black Formal Skirt made in Bangkok! I am also 6'1 but far from a size 3. I have searched high and low for a "long" formal...Good Luck.

You might just want to find a seamstress and make one to fit you perfectly!!!
