Rare crewsweeper Posted November 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2014 Some of the best zip lining in the Caribbean is in Roatan. South Shore Canopy and Pirates of the Caribbean get the most mention on this board. South Shore goes over deep canyons. Pirates has tall structures for starting points and different types of zip lines for different experiences. There's also Clip N Zip at Mahogany Bay if you're on a Carnival or Princess ship that docks there. It head up the hill and you zip down with great vistas of the south side of the island and the cruise port. Victor Bodden torus has its own zip line as well. Anthony's Key has a dolphin/marine wildlife type excursion. Google Anthony's Key and look up their tour. There may be one or two other dolphin excursions there. But if any of these deal with cruise ships they won't accept a private excursion from a cruise ship passenger.

SunshineCruiser24 Posted January 11, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) If you can book Anthony's Key privately, DO IT!! This is the BEST dolphin excursion I've done, and I have done several. Mine was through the cruise line, but it took place at Anthony's Key. The dolphins are in an ocean pen, not a man made pool. You enter the water via a sandy beach and you spend about 30 minutes standing in small groups with a trainer and a dolphin interacting with them. You get to pet, do hand signals, hug and kiss, etc. There are dolphins zipping all around you, though as you do your interaction. It makes for some silly fun, our dolphin got distracted and swam away to play with friends before being called back by the trainer. We also had dolphin races between our dolphin and another group's dolphin. There are MANY dolphins in the pen at once, it's huge! Then the real fun began! We got our snorkel gear and we snorkeled with the dolphins. If you swam down and got sea grass, they'd play with you. There were even babies in the pod. You can see how massive the ocean pen is in the pictures... and how beautiful the water was! Our dolphin was Mr. French.
